"I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will."

This is personal me: I write and read fiction.

I am currently writing contemporary novels in both Women's Fiction and Young Adult, and have dabbled in Fantasy and Alternate/Historical Fiction. My stories tend to have themes of coming-of-age, family, and change vs. tradition.

I read deeply and diversely, across a range of genres and topics. My favorite books are so different yet so similar; each one evokes a powerful, internal reaction in my soul. Characters can make or break the reading experience for me, and I seek out and write stories that immerse the reader in different lived experiences, cultures, time periods, and yes, even alternate worlds.

This is professional me

My storytelling has historically been done through the lens of corporate communication. Combining a decade-plus of experience across a range of professional fields with a master’s degree from Purdue University's Brian Lamb School of Communication, I offer a unique blend of communication theory and real-world practice in areas of content strategy, campaign management, branding, social media engagement, event planning, public relations and other creative initiatives.

I am passionate about about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Health & Welfare, and Talent Strategy & Development. I strive to design and implement unique, results-driven communications and media campaigns to reach organizational goals. Whether that means placement in media outlets, better engagement with employees and other stakeholders, or to promote clear, concise and meaningful messages, I have a servant’s heart and work toward helping others first.
