As an avid reader and writer, I am passionate about communication in all forms, and am especially drawn to creative, genuine communication that challenges perceptions and old ways of thinking, engages the community or audience, and creates a following.
With more than eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry and a decade-plus of experience in the communications field, I have held roles encompassing community relations, internal/employee communication, event coordination and management, and campaign development and management. I have strong corporate writing skills, am skilled at event coordination (from Employee Appreciation Days and groundbreakings to holiday parties and volunteerism opportunities), and am comfortable working with A/V and Graphics teams to design and execute a comprehensive and consistent communication/marketing campaign.
Prior to entering the oil and gas industry, I worked in roles involving project coordination, client relations, and public relations. I also successfully started a residential/commercial detailing business during and following the financial crisis of 2008, which granted me the perspective of the myriad challenges and opportunities facing a business owner.
